Teams — groups of 10 or more join together to show their support for a survivor, a loved one and the CT RACE in the Park.
WHO — families, friends, colleagues, school groups, ski clubs, church groups, sports teams, police departments, fire departments, scout troops, running clubs, etc. Captain’s Hat – teams of ten or more will receive a Captain’s Hat. TEAM MEMBERS can choose to participate in different events – running, walking, Kids’ Challenge. An award will be presented to the largest team.

Become a Team Captain
Organize and plan your campaign — publicize your Team on your workplace bulletin board or newsletter OR use the tools available on your Team webpage to e-mail potential team members or pledge donors. For help, email teams@ctrace.org or call 860-827-7103.
Team Online Registration
To START a Team Online – Deadline is Wednesday, May 2, 2012.
- Click Here to register, then click “Register Here” if you haven’t already registered;
- Please read the waiver and click on “I agree”;
- Click on “Start a Team” (You will automatically be designated as the Team Captain);
- Enter a Team name and other Team information, then “Continue” to your individual registration;
- Complete contact and registration information, the event in which you are participating, t-shirt size, etc;
- Provide a credit card number (This is a secure website and your privacy is guaranteed);
- Confirm the transaction;
- Inform potential team members of the name of your team;
- Start your team by Wednesday, May 2, 2012
Team Paper Registration
- Download application form by Clicking Here and Download a roster form Here. Mail the forms and check(s) to CT BHI, P.O. Box 566, New Britain, CT 06050. Checks are payable to CT RACE in the Park. The deadline for paper Team registration is Wednesday, May 2, 2012.

Encourage family, friends, and other colleagues to collect pledges for the ‘Friends Asking Friends’ Pledge program (Click Here to download a pledge collection form or Pledge Here Online). To maximize your gift, check to see if your employer has a matching gift program.
Inform your team members to pick up their bibs with B-tags and t-shirts at Walnut Hill Park Prior to or on Race Day. Race materials will be available on Friday, May 11, 2012 between 11:00 am and 6:00pm, and on Saturday morning prior to the race events beginning at 6:30am.
Alert anyone on your team who registered for Seeds of Hope or Health Professionals Who Care to pick up their bib, t-shirt, and gift at the “Hope Garden Tent” on Friday, May 11 between 11:00am and 6:00pm, or on Race Day before 11:00am.
