Why Give?

Your reasons may be personal but there are plenty of statistics which emphasize why the need is great.

Until there is a cure…

  • One in eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime.
  • Over 211,000 new breast cancer cases will be diagnosed each year in the United States (including 1,600 men).
  • Approximately 40,000 women are expected to die of breast cancer every year. And yet there are more than two million breast cancer survivors in the United States!
  • Connecticut ranks 20th in the U.S. in breast cancer mortality rates.
