The CT Breast Health Initiative (CT BHI) has recently partnered with Car Program, Inc. to offer our supporters an innovative way to help this organization and the environment.
Since 1992, America’s Car Donation Charities Center has provided non-profit organizations with a practical means of raising funds via donated vehicles. Car Program, Inc. operates the most efficiently managed vehicle donation program in the country and provides quick and easy disposition nationwide of most donated vehicles – including cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RVs.
The mission of Car Program, Inc. is to assist charities nationwide by bringing them together with you – the general public – and providing both you and the charitable organization with a viable means in which to benefit from a donated vehicle. Car Program, Inc makes it easy for you the donor to support CT BHI because it handles everything from start to finish.
Many charities depend upon the generosity of individual donations to support their programs and services. Over the last few years, with a great deal of funds going to support natural and man-made disasters, it has been difficult for local organizations to get the funding and help so desperately need. Simply by donating a vehicle – you not only support CT BHI but you also make our community, our country, and our planet a better place to live.

We accept most vehicles and vessels including but not limited to cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RV’s.
Yes, we are able to accept most vehicles running or not (exceptions include some older vehicles whose value would not offset the cost of towing). To find out if we can accept your vehicle, please contact the CT BHI Office at 860.827.7103
We would like the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it please call us anyway. It is possible that other arrangements may be made. Please contact the CT BHI Office at 860.827.7103
Yes, we are able to pick up accepted vehicles in the continental U.S. and Hawaii.
We will arrange to have your vehicle towed away by a professionally licensed, bonded and insured towing company.
We will arrange for a towing company to contact you via telephone within forty-eight hours. If you need your car picked up sooner, please let us know as we are happy to accommodate rush orders as well.
Yes, vehicle and vessel donations made to CT BHI are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. However, individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine what if any tax benefit you may receive from a tax deductible donation.
The IRS allows you, the taxpayer, to claim a tax deduction of (a) the value of your vehicle up to $500 or (b) if we sell the vehicle for more than $500 we will mail you a completed IRS tax form 1098-C with that value for your tax purposes.
